In June 2009, Andrej Rozman Roza founded the Zeroers religious community for people who “believe it is possible to bring VAT rate to zero for all products that are spreading the foundation of Slovene state, the Slovene language.”
The Zeroite Mass is close to cabaret on the level of content, it offers music, singing and high spirited, socially engaged religious ceremony that celebrates the language. The ceremony is led by Kangaroo that also invites the audience to join in and chant Our Language and sing along. Besides Kangaroo, other performers are singers and musicians. The ceremony is composed of sermon, a sequence of short acts about the Zeroers religious community and songs in various genres, from Gospel to Rock’n Roll.
Andrej Rozman Roza, poet, dramatist, director, and actor was born in 1955 in Ljubljana, where he still lives today. “Due to the politically correct behaviour, we Slovenians have so much alternative history and culture that we are disintegrating more and more as a nation/state.”
Andrej Rozman Roza
“I fight for the word itself, for the Slovenian language from philosophy to pornography. We are not in alignment about this with other people who also strive for zero rate tax. Some think that only high quality literature should have such rate, while I advocate for the language itself.”
